You can use the Tran Type Order field in the Tran Type form (on page 1) of the transaction types to order the transaction types in the Gate Configurations view (on page 1) and the Gate forms. N4 orders the transaction types based on the tran type order only after you refresh the Gate Configurations view (on page 1). To do this, you must select Display 
Refresh View. Similarly, if the gate form is already open you must close and open it to view the changes. You can either specify the order for all the transaction types or some transactions types. The option of specifying the tran type order for the transaction types is applicable for all the gate stages except appointment, truck visit, and preadvise.
- If you specify the order of all the transaction types in the Tran Type form (on page 1) for all the transaction types,N4 sorts all the transaction types based on the order values in ascending order.
By default, N4 displays the transaction types at the gate stage in the following order in the Gate Configurations view (on page 1) and Gate form:
Example 1:
Specify the order in the Tran Type Order field in the Tran Type forms of the corresponding transaction types as follows and save the forms:
RC - 1
RE - 2
DE - 3
DI - 4
TC - 5
After you save the changes, the transaction types are listed as shown below in the Gate Configurations view (on page 1) and the Gate form:
- If you enter a value in the Tran Type Order field only for a few transaction types, N4 sorts those transaction types based on the order value in ascending order and the remaining transaction types in the alphabetical order.
Example 2:
Specify the order only for the following transaction types:
TC - 1
RC - 2
DI – 3
- If you enter the same value value in the Tran Type Order field for more than one transaction type, N4 sorts the transaction types having the same value based on the alphabetical order followed by the other transaction types.
Example 3:
Specify the same value for the RE and DI transaction types:
TC -1
RE – 2
DI – 2
DE – 3
RC – 4
